Follow the attempt at UK circumnavigation in a Shipmate....
On the 19th May 2003 I set off from Amble on the NE coast, in Rainbow, to join other Shipmates at the International Festival of the Sea in Edinburgh.
Afterwards, I left via the then newly re-opened Forth & Clyde canal, continuing round the coast in a circumnavigation - see the UK map for the proposed/actual route
Each night I uploaded the day's progress to the web from my onboard laptop/mobile -- the archive follows
Shipmates are tremendous pocket cruising yachts, just 16' 3" (4.95 mtrs) long -- see the rest of the Owners' Assoc site for more details of this superb little boat
